Saint Xavier University (SXU) is pleased to announce that the Office for Marketing and Communications won three Education Digital Marketing Awards – the Gold (Instagram Campaign), Silver (Cougar Dairies -SXU Student Blogs), and a Merit (Gilbert Admissions Microsite). A national panel of industry specialists reviewed each piece on the following: creativity, marketing execution, message impact, technology application, and innovation content. There were 30 categories and 14 groups that were judged.
“We are very pleased to accept these distinguished awards and grateful to the Higher Education Marketing Report for this honor,” said former Vice President for Marketing and Communications Robert Tenczar. “This recognition is a testament to the excellent work we do in an effort to communicate the lifestyle of Saint Xavier and of our wonderful students.”
Education Digital Marketing Awards recognizes the best educational websites, digital content, electronic communications, mobile media and social media and gives education marketing professionals an opportunity to test their creative projects against the best in the country.
SXU was honored with a Gold award for their Instagram Campaign focusing on the beauty of the campus and the many student events and programs available. SXU’s Instagram targets current and prospective students where followers are given a view of Saint Xavier through the student’s perspective. Genesis Garcia-Fisher (sophomore) is a student Instagram intern who works with Laura Richardella (Marketing Communications Manager) to create and organize the content that is shared. The Silver award was secured with Cougar Dairies, which consists of four SXU Student Bloggers sharing what it’s like to attend Saint Xavier. The student bloggers are as follows: Bridget (senior), Genesis (sophomore), Frankie (freshman), and Carleigh (senior) who write about the following topics: music, college coursework, things to do around the area, dealing with college stress as well as studying abroad. The blogs are promoted on Saint Xavier’s main webpage and across our social media platforms. The Merit award was given for the University’s Gilbert admissions microsite, which is used as a marketing tool to recruit prospective students in Arizona for our new Saint Xavier campus location that opened in Gilbert, Arizona last summer. The site list news and events that are specific to Gilbert, Arizona and also provides information about admission requirements, academic programs, and financial aid.
