Saint Xavier University’s (SXU) Health Center is pleased to announce that it now accepts Medicare and is an in-network provider for Aetna, Associated Insurance Plans, Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO, and Humana.
Located at SXU’s Chicago campus (3700 W. 103rd St.), the Health Center is a nurse practitioner-led primary care clinic that services SXU students, faculty, and staff, as well as members of the surrounding community. All of the Health Center’s nurse practitioners are board-certified in family or adult health, and most are SXU School of Nursing faculty members.
The Health Center has a collaborating agreement with a local family practice physician who is always available by phone for questions or consultations. Services offered include:
- Minor injury or illnesses
- School, sports, and pre-employment comprehensive physicals
- Department of Transportation physicals
- Occupational health services
- Well-woman exams
- Well-child exams
- Adult immunizations, drug screens, TB skin testing, tetanus shots
- Child immunizations
- Flu vaccinations
- Biometric Testing
- Chronic Illness management
- Laboratory services (including titers)
- Health promotion and education
- CPR instruction
The Health Center is located in a tan modular unit in the back of Lot 4 and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. The Center accepts all insurance, but also offers services for uninsured adults and children. Co-payments can be made with cash, check, and most major credit cards. Appointments are strongly encouraged and are often available the same day.
