Saint Xavier University is pleased to announce that the Office for University Relations was named a Bronze Winner at the 2013 Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) V District Awards.
SXU was honored for its “Student Choice” video in the “Best Video/DVD/CD-ROM, Student Recruitment” category. The video was created by Digital Media Specialist Kyle Dunleavy and Assistant Digital/Social Media Specialist Matt Kowynia.
CASE’s annual awards program honors institutions and individuals who demonstrate outstanding achievement in the concept and execution of programs within the advancement, alumni, and communications fields throughout Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
The contest generated 482 entries from institutions in five broad areas, including excellence in alumni relations, fundraising and development, communications and marketing, special events, and diversity programming. Awards are divided into 45 categories.
“We are proud to receive this prestigious award from CASE as it highlights the excellent work being done to communicate all the exciting opportunities for students available at SXU,” said Vice President for University Relations Robert Tenczar.
Representatives from SXU will be recognized at an award ceremony held during the CASE District V Annual Conference at 4:15 p.m. on Mon., Dec. 16 at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers in Chicago. SXU’s winning entry will be on display at the conference.
Executive Director of Marketing and Communications Jennifer Younker and Web Strategist Romana Amato will give a presentation titled “Marketing and Web Strategy: Repurposing Traditional Promotions into Innovative Formats” at the conference. The presentation focuses on methods for repurposing traditional promotional tools, such as brochures and print ads, for web marketing campaigns.
Younker and Amato also recently presented about the same topic at the HighEdWeb 2013 Conference in Buffalo, N.Y.
