University Ministry welcomes new Hall Ministers

The Office of University Ministry welcomes two new Hall Ministers for the 2013-14 academic year. Bridget Kelley will serve in Regina Hall and Dannis Matteson will serve in the Quad Halls.

Hall Ministers are graduate assistants who work collaboratively with Residence Life to further a joint mission of creating an environment that facilitates healthy living, academic advancement, spiritual growth and social interaction.

Bridget is a graduate of Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio. She served for two years with Mercy Volunteer Corps in Detroit and Philadelphia. She currently works with the Social Welfare History Project in Chicago. She is a member of the Mercy Associates, a partnership with the Sisters of Mercy for women and men who hear and respond to a call from God, an invitation to Gospel holiness lived through sharing in the mission of Mercy.

Dannis is a graduate of Nazareth College of Rochester, New York. She is a Bernardin Scholar in the Master of Arts–Theology program at Catholic Theological Union, Chicago. She lived with and served alongside the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Rochester as a member of the SSJ Volunteer Corps. She currently interns with Persepone Project Women’s Prison Ministry at Stillpoint Theater Collective in Chicago.
