Staff Council will sponsor a presentation on identifying and assisting students of concern. Oftentimes staff members are the first to notice students who are in distress, whose behavior is out-of-the-ordinary, or who are struggling with complex issues. Eileen Doherty, dean of students, Karen Shockley, director of counseling services, and Jack Touhy, chief of police, will offer insights into common and uncommon types of student issues and situations, and provide resources for reporting student concerns.
This event is scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. on Tues., May 14 in the Butler Reception Room. Please RSVP to Ada Crowley at (773) 341-5060 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you plan to attend. Dessert and beverages will be served. Please feel free to bring your lunch.
