The Saint Xavier University Service Through Action Team (S.T.A.T.) invites the entire SXU community to join the mercy connection as alumni, staff, faculty, students, and friends of SXU come together for Misericordia Candy Days.
During Candy Days, teams of volunteers take pre-distributed city intersections where they collect donations for Misericordia Heart of Mercy. If friendly motorists give donations, they will be given sweet treats as a thank you. Individuals or teams of volunteers take two-hour shifts over the course of the day, which begins at 6 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. The SXU location will be at 95th Street and Cicero Avenue on Fri., April 26 and Sat., April 27.
Members of the SXU community who participate in this Misericordia event are volunteering on their own time and at their own risk. This very worthy cause also involves some hazards that involve soliciting donations from drivers at intersection stops. Participants must be at least 18 years old.
You may select the shift for which you would like to volunteer by completing our printer-friendly registration form. Please return completed forms to Saint Xavier University, Office of Alumni and Parent Relations, 3700 W. 103rd St., Chicago, Ill., 60655.
