Nominations of students, staff, and faculty are now in progress for SXU’s three prestigious Mission Day Awards. Nomination deadlines are Fri., Feb. 1 for nominations of student award candidates and Fri., Feb. 8 for nominations of potential faculty and staff awardees.
How to nominate: Review the criteria for each award and submit a nomination form for students and staff or, alternately, a letter of nomination for faculty or staff. Award criteria and nomination forms are available online at www.sxu.edu or via mySXU, using these keywords: paulita, for the student award; perrigo, for the staff award; faculty, for the faculty award.
Nomination information and forms are also available at these campus locations: A-305, L-208, L-111, SXU Diner, Warde Academic Center Information Desk, Mercy Ministry Center, Graham School of Management, Visual Arts Center, O’Grady Center, Deans’ offices, and the Orland Park Campus.
Everyone in the University community is encouraged to nominate students, staff members, and/or faculty members whom they regard as examples of excellence and service. Individuals may also self-nominate.
Awards will be given on Mission Day, March 20, at a 3:30 p.m. ceremony in the Fourth Floor Board Room. The Saint Xavier University Award will honor a faculty member for outstanding scholarship, teaching, and service. The Sister Isidore Perrigo, R.S.M. Award will recognize a staff member for demonstrated initiative, responsibility, integrity, and service. The Mother Paulita Morris, R.S.M. Award will cite a student for exemplary service and leadership at and beyond SXU.
