Chocolate Chip Cherry Walnut Cookies
- ½ cup whole wheat flour
- ½ c rolled oats
- ½ tsp. baking soda
- 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
- 6 tbsp. unsalted butter, softened
- 6 tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- ½ c semisweet chocolate morsels
- ½ cup coarsely chopped walnuts
- ¼ cup dried cherries
Heat oven to 375 degrees. In a bowl, combine flour, oats, baking soda, and cinnamon. In another bowl, cream butter and sugars until fluffy (about 3 to 5 minutes). Add one egg and vanilla; beat until smooth. Blend flour mixture into butter mixture. Stir in chocolate chips, walnuts and cherries. Drop 20 dough balls onto two ungreased cookie sheets. Bake until golden brown, about 9 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool. Makes 20 servings
