Regina, McCarthy, Morris, Rubloff and O’Brien Halls will close for Thanksgiving Break at 6 p.m. on Tues., Nov. 20, and will reopen at 5 p.m. on Sun., Nov. 25.
All residents must vacate the halls during this period. Please note you do not have to turn in your key or remove any of the belongings from your room. Only remove those items that you will need over the break, as you will not be allowed to return to the hall during the closed period for any reason.
International students and students who live beyond 400 miles of campus may request to reside on campus during this closed period at a rate of $35/day for the duration of the closing to be billed to the student’s account.
Other considerations include:
• Students who are enrolled in a course that meets on Tuesday evenings may request an extension to their departure time.
• Students who are engaged in academic activity such as library or laboratory research, faculty meetings, course related internships, student teaching, or academic work that requires access to University-specific technology or other resources may request an extension to depart at 4 p.m. on Wed., Nov. 21.
• Athletes in-season will receive communication through the Athletic Department/coaches but will be expected to submit the Housing Accommodation Request form.
All housing requests should be submitted through CLAWS by logging in, choosing “Residence Life” under “Self-Service Options,” and selecting “Housing Accommodation Request Form.”
This form must be submitted via CLAWS by 4:30 p.m. on Fri., Nov. 9. Requests received after this time may not be accommodated.
