Pub Discourse asks “Can We Call It Christmas?” on Wed., Nov. 28

Director of Security Darrell Parks will take the floor at Gilhooley’s Grande Saloon on Wed., Nov. 28 (4:30 to 6 p.m.) to lead this semester’s final Pub Discourse. Parks will speak to the question ‘Can We Call It Christmas?” and then invite those present to add their viewpoints to the discussion.

Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays?  Holiday or Holyday?  Festival or feast?  Historical commemoration or religious observance?  Perspectives vary, and all staff and faculty are invited to come and join the discussion.  Complimentary appetizers and beverages will be served.

Sponsored by the Center for Religion and Public Discourse, Pub Discourses promote civil – even friendly – conversation on topics relevant to the University’s mission and core values.  All faculty and staff are welcome
