Sister Rosemary Connelly: Human Dignity Key to Quality of Life

The human dignity of each person and the importance of opportunities to develop one’s personal talents are principles central to the ministry and the message of Sister Rosemary Connelly, RSM, executive director of Misericordia Homes, a facility for children and adults with developmental disabilities.

Sister Rosemary will bring that message to SXU on Wed., Sept. 19, when she speaks about “Misericordia: The Right to a Life Worth Living.” Her presentation, which addresses themes raised by “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks,” the common reading for this year’s incoming students, is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in the Butler Reception Room.

Sister Rosemary’s lecture, which is free and open to the public, launches this year’s Catholic Colloquium Lecture Series, sponsored by the Office for University Mission and Heritage.
