Campus road and parking lot closures during Resident Student Move-In

There will be numerous campus road and parking lot closures during Resident Student Move-In. A map detailing campus parking lots is available here.

Parking Lot 8 (between the south end of Morris Hall and the Warde Academic Center) will be closed for Resident Student Move-In from 5 p.m. on Wed., Aug. 22 to 5 p.m. on Sat., Aug. 25. Students arriving for move-in will be directed to Parking Lot 1 (to the northwest of the Shannon Center) and will be provided with parking and instructions.

The east end of Parking Lot 4 (behind Regina Hall) will be closed from midnight on Wed., Aug. 22 to 4 p.m. on Thurs., Aug. 23. Parking spaces will be available near the Health Center.

Parking Lot 2 (between the Shannon Center and Pacelli Hall), will be closed from 5 p.m. on Thurs., Aug. 23 to 2:30 p.m. on Fri., Aug. 24 to facilitate the New Student Induction Ceremony and the All-Campus Picnic. Vehicles should be relocated to Parking Lot 1 (to the northwest of the Shannon Center) or Parking Lot 12 (directly north of the Warde Academic Center).

Parking Lot 7 (behind Morris Hall and McCarthy Hall) will be open for general use. However, the north end of the lot will have some restricted spaces for resident arrival.

The campus road between the Shannon Center and Lake Marion will be closed from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Fri., Aug. 24. The only access to Parking Lot 4 will be through the North Gate (near the softball field), heading west through Mother McAuley’s parking lot and onto 99th Street. Those who park in Lot 4 and Lot 5 should instead park in Parking Lot 1 (to the northwest of the Shannon Center) or Parking Lot 7 (behind Morris Hall) during these hours.

Please note that there will be a lot of activity and traffic (especially on the north end of campus) on Thurs., Aug. 23 and Sat., Aug. 25 and on the south end of campus on Fri., Aug. 24. Keep this in mind as it will be coupled with the ongoing construction on the north roadway that continues to be closed to traffic.
